JACOMS Editorial Focus
The Journal of African Communication and Media Studies is an international, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal of African Communications across disciplines domiciled in Dominican University Ibadan, Oyo State (South West, Nigeria). It focuses on developmental issues within the African traditions and serves as a platform for interactions among scholars in the Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Management Studies. The idea is to foster relationships among scholars who have keen interest for result-oriented researches that can engender development within the African continent. The Journal encourages collaborative studies in Agricultural Communication, Political Communication, Organizational Communications, Business Communication, Cultural Communication, Environmental Communications, Human Communications, Financial Communication, Health Communication, Development Communication, and Information & Communication Technologies and so on. This is aimed at creating an enabling environment for researchers to share ideas and build common ideologies that can foster development within the African sub-region. Our editorial team members are drawn from seasoned scholars with track record in result-oriented research within the Communication and Media Studies disciplines. The Journal recognizes that human and social development are rooted in the development of the mind as well as the character of individual members of the society. This is why it encourages research mentoring across disciplines to build a robust collaboration that can yield the desired result. It also draws from the expertise of seasoned professors in communication and media studies and build on their track record in editorial proficiency in nurturing up-coming editors and reviewers who may want to indicate interest from other disciplines within the Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Management Studies.
