NISLT Pays Courtesy Visit to the Dominican University, Ibadan
On Monday, June 1st, 2026, representatives
from the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT) visited Dominican
University, Ibadan, aiming to build stronger ties between the two institutions
and discuss potential partnerships that could lead to mutual benefits. The Vice-Chancellor,
along with members of the University’s Management, warmly received the
delegates.
The visit served as a valuable
opportunity for both institutions to discuss ways to work together to promote
sustainable development, boost research and improve academic standards in Oyo
State and Nigeria. The delegates from NISLT shared insights about their ongoing
collaborations with a number of international organisations, emphasising their
commitment to equipping researchers with the tools and resources they need to conduct
high-quality research. They added that this initiative is all about promoting scientific
knowledge and ensuring that research findings are credible, relevant and impactful.
Both parties strongly recognise the
significance of forming strategic alliances to tackle common challenges and
create opportunities that benefit both the institutions and the community. They
identified numerous promising areas for collaboration, including academics,
research, infrastructure development, security measures and environmental
sustainability. In addition, NISLT also highlighted the importance of broadening
these collaborative efforts to include nearby organisations, pointing out that working
together not only improves relationships among stakeholders but also drives
development and leads to practical solutions for common problems.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation
for NISLT’s visit and emphasised the university’s willingness to explore and
strengthen partnerships that align with its mission of excellence in teaching,
research and community engagement. Both institutions were committed to
nurturing a positive and lasting relationship that promises to greatly benefit
